SNOW DAY!!

So clearly Easton is feeling better! Thank heavens, It is so hard to watch your little boy so sad all the time. At points he would cry to me and tell me "It's all my fault mommy" I couldn't take it any longer. So I'm delighted that he's feeling better!

Well I asked for it, a few posts ago I asked what ever happened to the snow we used to get when I was a little kid... well we're getting a taste of it now! It has been a blast to watch the kids enjoying it like I used to! Monday we had The Ramey's over to play in the snow with us. The kids had a blast, it's been a while since we've had some friends over to play. Easton was ecstatic to have the love of his life Conli over to play with him! Taylor was grateful that Max came to spend some time with him, and I was grateful to have another adult to interact with. So Thanks Lisa for coming to spend some time with us, we had a fabulous afternoon!

Yes, I'm PREGNANT!!!

So after the last post I've had lots of people questioning if they knew I was pregnant, or asking how far along I was... That was The first time I've publicly said anything about being pregnant so you probably didn't know! ( so those of you in the Roberts clan who read that, you were actually the firsts to know! So you can feel special!) Any who I am 13 weeks in a couple of days, Yahoo... almost done with the first trimester! I've been icky a lot, but hopefully that will go away soon! The boys are so excited to have a new baby around here! I am due the last day of July or the first of August, it depends on what calculator you use! The boys are set on the fact that it's a girl, and that's what I'm hoping for! But you never know, it'll probably be a boy so I'm not getting my hopes up! As long as it's a healthy baby, I will be stoked! But if you want you can think pink just for fun!!

My poor little Easton...

My poor little baby had his tonsils out on Thursday, It has been really hard on him! He spends a good majority of the night crying because his throat hurts him SO bad! They say it's a good 7-10 day recovery and we are counting down the days! Taylor has been so concerned about his little brother and he's doing all he can to help out mommy and daddy, what a trooper! He is getting a little bored without his brother to play with him, but he's been really great to lay in bed and watch movies with him!
Easton spends the majority of his time in his bed, he doesn't have the energy to get up for very long, and it's hard for us to keep him hydrated because he doesn't want anything! I hope that he feels SO much better after this, so that it makes it worth all the trouble! It's so hard as a mom and dad to see your little boy so sad and hurting and not be able to help them! Jeff and I are completely exhausted but were pushing through! As if no sleep for days isn't hard enough, add being tired and sick all day from the pregnancy, it's hard work! So please keep Easton in your prayers, so that he can have a quick recovery! We love our sweet little boy and want nothing more than for him to feel better!
So that is part of the reason for being a blog slacker, but when things get back on track around here, you can bet there will be more posts to come! We'll keep you updated on Easton's progress. Thank you so much Mom for all your help today and to everyone who has done things or thought good thoughts for us! We love and appreciate you all very much!

Christmas!

On Christmas Eve we went over to the Knight's for a family breakfast, and to spend some time together before Amy had to go to work! Tradition in my family is that we all go to Grandma and Grandpa's house to celebrate Christmas together! We all went over at 5:00 and the festivities began with our annual Christmas caroling! We took advantage of the short break in the storm and all bundled up and went out caroling! By the time we got to the last culdesac we were done and ready for dinner! We then all have a sit down dinner together, It's always YUMMY! After dinner, and clean up we played a healthy boys vs. girls game of pictionary! This year it ended in a tie! :) Any who following the game we take the opportunity to have a family talent show, so that we can all share our special gifts with on another!
Here are pictures of the girl and boy cousins that spend Christmas together!
Then it's time to celebrate the true spirit of Christmas! Aunt Kelly gets costumes from the studio and all the kids act out the Nativity! After that we have a tradition of sitting in a circle and we all get a candle, we go around the circle in turn and tell what we are grateful for and light our candles! I'm always grateful to share with all my loved ones the happiness in our lives!
Taylor and Sadie were Mary and Joseph this year! SO cute!

Then come the Christmas pajamas! Everyone gets to open their Christmas jammies and then comes the massive sleepover!
Since our kids still sleep so good in there own beds, Jeff and I went home (Which is around the corner) to put them to bed! Then we come back in the morning for the opening of the gifts!! Only our night didn't end there... After getting the kids in bed just before midnight, and then going to bed ourselves we woke up a half an hour later to Easton having the worst croup attack ever! Jeff went and sat bundled up in the carport with him until he relaxed his breathing and fell back asleep. Then after we were all asleep again, Taylor came in our room needing a drink, his tummy didn't feel right (Understatement) He then spent the rest of the night throwing up! Oh and Easton woke up again with an even worse attack! Jeff spent the night in the family room watching movies and holding a bowl for Taylor! We got a hold of an on call nurse, and after rummaging through the medicine cabinet found steroids for Easton so that we could avoid a trip to the ER! It was a very long night! But Santa had come to grandma's so everyone graciously let us come for Christmas morning, We couldn't miss that! Although the did have to wait for us because Taylor's PJ's weren't quite dry yet! Thank you everyone for your patients!

Christmas Morning!
Being the zombie that I was these were all the pictures that I took on Christmas! I hope that grandpa Knight has some from when they came over for the rest of the day when we got home!
This is the kids coming down into the family room where Santa left all the presents!

It was a great Christmas, It's always a lot of work for grandma an grandpa, so I just wanted to tell them thank you very much for all your hard work! And thank you to everyone else for all the great gifts, and spoiling the kiddo's as usual! I love you all very much!

Christmas, Christmas time is near!

Here are a few of the fun things that we've been doing for this festive holiday season!

~~~
Santa...
This is in line, the kids are yelling "SANTA!!"
Telling Santa everything they want for Christmas!
~~~
Fun with Friends!
Getting together with friend's for dinner and decorating Christmas cookies!The kids had a blast, and so did the moms. Thanks Lisa for hosting, seeing as how I've been Scrooge and didn't want to!

Polar Express Party!

Caryn Cradall, Me, Cindy Clark, Kellie Knowles, and Jolynn Jackson
For our wards enrichment Christmas dinner we decided on a Polar express theme! We had a lot of fun planning and decorating for the fun night! The cultural center was decorated to resemble a train in the forest, it was really nice, we had yummy dinner, and had a nice program. Since it was the Polar Express, we all came in our jammie's. Santa even stopped by to give us all a bell! We finished off the night having hot chocolate and dessert! It was a big success!

Gingerbread House...
The boys had a blast decorating a gingerbread house with there fun cousin Jordynn! Grandma came to help too! It turned out really cute, although now the candy is almost gone!

Tabernacle Christmas Concert &
Temple Square!
On Friday night all my siblings, Jeff and I went to Salt Lake to the Mormon Tabernacle Choirs Christmas concert! We really enjoyed the uplifting music, and even though it was cold we enjoyed the lights on Temple Square!

Tiffany, Me, Jared, Jeff, Amy, and Sarah

Merry Christmas to all,

and to all a good night!

Winter Wonderland!!

Well, December decided to come in with a bang! December first we woke up to a couple inches of snow, and it was still snowing! It continued to snow most of the day! It was beautiful! I told Jeff that I wish it would snow like it did when we were little. You know, a foot or two over night! Snow so deep it didn't melt until spring! instead of the next day. Enough to build forts, snowmen, snow slides, ect. and still have snow left over! Anyway this storm was enough to get the kids all pumped up to go out and play in it! So we bundled them up and out we went! Good thing we bought Taylor a coat and Easton boots the night before! They had a ball! Rolling in the snow, sliding down the slide into a pile of snow, swinging in the snow filled hammock, making snow angels, and playing under the bushes and trees covered in snow! It was a good day! And of course we came in and had hot chocolate, how else would you finish a day of playing in the snow!!

Slumber Party!

So, Lisa and Brent went to New York for the weekend, and we had the privilege of having Max & Conli come to stay at our house on Thursday night! Taylor and Easton were SO excited!

Taylor and Max had a blast playing Spider Man together!
Conli couldn't contain her joy that she got to have an "over-sleep" at Easton's house!
We moved the old mattress from the basement onto the floor in the family room and watched Frosty the Snowman, and other fun movies! The kids loved it!

Everyone enjoyed waffles for breakfast, except Easton he wanted a PB&J sandwich!

Conli slept on the floor in Easton's room. They were so cute in there I was loving every second of it! When they woke up in the morning she climbed into Easton's bed, and they were whispering and giggling, It made me laugh!
We all had a lot of fun, and wanted to say thanks to the Ramey's for the good time!
~~~
My kids were so lucky because the next night they got to have another slumber party over at grandma and grandpa Knight's house! (Maybe if they took some pictures, Diane will post them on her blog!) The kids had a blast over there!
