Paradise

Jeff and I had the opportunity to go to Mexico for a week to celebrate our tenth anniversary! This is a major post about our fun week!

DAY 1:

At the airport in Dallas waiting to board our plane to Cancun!

So very excited for week of fun in the sun!

After landing and taking a shuttle an hour south, we got to our resort! It was such a nice place!

This was in the Hacienda where they had shops a sports bar and a disco.And this was the view from our room! It was horrible to have to look at this for a week!

everyday we had a new towel creation in our room! This was the main pool!

After checking out the grounds and eating dinner we decided to go to bed early. After all we'd been up since 3 am and wanted to have plenty of energy for day 2!

DAY 2:

After sleeping in we headed down to the beach

This is Fred he lived right by our golden club lobby, we saw him everyday! These guys were everywhere!

We decided to go adventuring and hiked along the rocks around the corner from our hotel to a little inlet where there was an abandoned hotel.

We had the whole place to ourselves except for a naked couple on the other side of the lagoon and then three more people came a little later!

It was SO beautiful and peaceful! Then Jeff gave me some snorkeling school

I had a hard time getting used to it at first. So I sat on the beach and Jeff snorkeled a bit!

He found some cool things!

After spending most of the afternoon there we hiked back

then we walked down the beach at our resort to check it all out!

We didn't even see this little guy until he ran across the sand because he matched it perfectly.

DAY 3:

This was our little piece of beach on day 3. It was absolutely gorgeous! Sitting around and doing absolutely nothing all day... it truly was paradise. We sat here and drank pina colada's and read books all day long!

These are some of the fish that were not afraid of people at the resort. I'm surrounded by fish in the picture, if you click on it, it will get bigger and you can see the fish better.

After a relaxing day we showered and got ready for the evening. We walked along the beach at dusk to get to our dinner reservations across the resort. While we we walking we came across this tiny guy!

After dinner we went over to the Hacienda to dance a little! This was a new friend I made!

DAY 4:

November 20, 2009

HAPPY TEN YEARS TO US!!!
For our anniversary we decided to spend the day at Xel-ha.

Ten years and still in love!

After a fun day at Xel-ha we got ready and headed to our dinner reservation at Arlequin! It was a gourmet restaurant (our favorite of the week!) We really enjoyed dinner and then my sweet husband gave me beautiful anniversary bands to go with my ring! This was our waiter he was a lot of fun and kept taking pictures of us!

Then he brought us a heart shaped chocolate cake that said "Happy 10th Anniversary"

After dinner we went back to our room and the resort dropped by to bring us champagne on the house for our big day! So we had to make a photo op out of it in our robes and slippers!

We had a fantastic Anniversary and It was a great day together!
