Swimming and Summerfest!

Yahoo, It's finally Summertime! At least now it feels like it to us! We got to go swimming for the first time on Friday, and then we went to the Summerfest on Saturday! It was a great start to the summer for us!

Swimming Time!

Aunt Tiffy, Sarah and the Mckee's joined us for a fun filled afternoon at the pool, and the kids thoroughly enjoyed every second! Easton kept saying "It sure is nice to be back at the pool! My kids are little fishes in the summer, so they've been waiting for the day we'd be back at the pool!

I'm not sure who taught Easton how to plug his nose, but this is how he was doing it all day when he was jumping in from the side!












Taylor loved being in the water, his eyes were sore by the end of the day because his goggles weren't up to the task of keeping the water out! That didn't slow him down though! At one point Tiff and I were sitting at the edge of the pool and we'd tried tightening the goggles several times and were unsuccessful. He asked me to try one more time and then went under the water, He came up with a big grin on his face and a thumbs up (because they were working). and Tiff and I couldn't stop laughing because they were filled half way up with water!











It was a great afternoon and I'm looking forward to more fun in the sun!

Summerfest!!
Again Aunt Tiffy to the rescue as my second set of hands for the Summerfest! On Saturday we went and spent the whole afternoon at the carnival, and man was it HOT! Jordy came with us and We met up with the Ramey clan, and Darla (for a little bit) and played on the rides and enjoyed some snow cones! Then after some serious melting in the heat, we headed back to Aunt Kelly's to cool off and eat before the parade and fireworks!

We had a good time watching the parade. It was fun to see Jordynn and Aubrey go past. Taylor even caught a shirt from Jordy! Everyone enjoyed yummy treats and good company as we watched! Jeff even caught a tie that he wore the next day for father day!

After the parade we went back to Aunt Kelly's to run around, visit and watch some awesome fireworks! It was a great weekend to start off the summer season! It's always great to spend time with friends and family! A special thanks to Tiff for all your help this weekend I really appreciate it! We love you!

Dino Attack Army!

Taylor put all his favorite dino's in a row, ready for battle against all his other toys! He's so proud of it that we can't touch it!

A Day at the Dentist.

Unfortunately both of the kids needed some cavity bugs fixed after our check up this time. They were both a little apprehensive, but they did really well!
Taylor went first, and after he had the happy gas on for a minute he relaxed quite a bit! I was surprised with how well he did! The only thing he didn't like was the little pinch from the numbing shot! A little while after having the gas on he asked me if people at the hospital use those same breathing things. I told him they don't have happy gas, but that they do use a different kind of mask if they need some extra oxygen. He then responded "Well why don't they just open the window or turn on a fan?" The things kids come up with! Anyway the dentist had to drill him a bit and put a cap on his tooth. He was a champ, and he's happy to show his silver tooth to anyone who wants to see it! Easton was up next and he didn't want the nose breathy thing like his brother, Instead he chose to be on daddy and the dentists lap! They filled two cavities on him. They were so small, he didn't even have to be numbed. After a little fight and some crying, he popped up shouting "that was SO easy!" He's also proud to show off his silver stars! Here they are all done, picking out their prizes! Notice Taylor's numb cheek and lip! That was the one thing that was driving him crazy all afternoon!

We had a blast spending some quality time at the museum with the Garner clan! The kids had fun running around, playing in the sand and water, and digging for dino bones with their dino-buddies!

Happy 30th Birthday Janet!!

We went to red Robin to surprise Janet and celebrate her big day. The surprise may have been a little spoiled, but I'm not mentioning names as to not hurt any ones feelings! Some people got picked on enough that night! Those of you who don't like to share, you know who you are! Well the Garner's babysitter was running a little late, (we were all SO MAD :)!) so the menfolk got a little creative with the party hats while we were waiting! Anyway once the birthday girl arrived we had a great time eating yummy food and enjoying great company! Thanks guys for the fun night out. I hope you have a fabulous 30th year Janet!

And the Cast Comes Off!

We made it to June fourth, and Easton was very excited to go to the arm doctor and get his cast off! Although a couple of days before we went I asked him if he was excited and he said: "Yes I am, but can I get another one for my birthday?" I'm hoping that's a no go! He did grow attached to it, he loved his green arm and got mad when someone got dirt on it. He was also adamant about nobody signing his cast, even his favorite uncle couldn't talk him into it!
When the big day came he was very brave, not a single tear was shed while the loud saw was cutting it off! Which I guess is great because a lot of little guys get scared and cry when they cut them off! Easton just laughed and said it tickled!

He was very interested in watching the whole process, and thought it was pretty cool! He did cry a little when he hopped off the table and his arm fell straight down (they said he probably had elbow lock) and he wanted his cast put back on because it hurt! His cast was super clean, he did baby it after all, and his arm didn't smell at all. Thank heavens! After some exfoliating in the tub that night it looked pretty much back to normal, although Easton says it's smaller now!

Easton is so glad to have his healthy arm back, and so are we! It's been a week tomorrow and you can't even tell it was broken! We are loving that there are no more sack showers and that he can play and get wet! Hopefully he won't ask for another for his birthday again!

On another Easton note...

Since we are talking about Easton I just wanted to share a cute little story!

Easton and I were at the grocery store a couple of weeks ago and we were walking through the produce section and up ahead there was a tall man with long straight brown hair and a short well kept beard and Easton yells "Mom Jesus shops at Harmon's" I was trying so hard not to laugh, and the guy didn't even turn in our direction. But I know he heard. Then his son comes around the corner with one of those playground balls, and Easton says loudly "Mom, I want a ball like Jesus' son!" I then high tailed it out of the produce section while shushing him and laughing!

I'm so glad that I have my cute boys to entertain me, and make me laugh!

Too Much TV?

Jeff and I were eating dinner last night when Taylor came in and says;

Taylor:"Mom if you go to jail"
me: "Yeah" (thinking to myself where is this going?)
Taylor: "and you only get one phone call."
me: "uh-huh"
Taylor:"Then just call Beehive Bail Bonds, and get your get out of jail free card!"

Obviously a commercial he's seen on TV! Trying not to laugh our heads off, Jeff and I decided that maybe he watches too much TV! Which I already knew, but it is just so convenient lately when the weather is bad and I'm completely worn out. But I think It's time to stop being a bad mommy and have some serious TV timeouts! What do you think?

Movin' on Up!

Okay since we are expecting baby number three and we only have two rooms besides ours, we have been looking for beds so that we could move the boys into a room together! Finally we decided on bunk beds, and the boys have been very excited to get them. They came this weekend, and here are the changes to the room!

Grandma and grandpa Knight told the boys when they got there new beds that they would take them to Build a Bear to make a new buddy to sleep in their new beds with! So on Saturday they went and made their little friends to sleep with for their first night in their new bunk beds!

Both of their animals have Spider man costumes that they can dress up in, they are cute and the kids love them tons. Thanks for the little buddies Grandma and grandpa Knight!

The kids are loving their beds so far, and we hope that it stays that way! It is going to take some adjusting, seeing that Easton likes the door open when he goes to bed and hums himself to sleep. Where as Taylor likes the door shut and complete silence to fall asleep to! Also they need some training in the getting out of bed quietly in the morning so they don't wake each other up, all in good time I hope! So far so good! Next step preparing the nursery!

Over Sleep with the Ramey's

Jeff and Brent were both out of town Friday night, so Lisa had the fabulous idea of having a slumber party so we didn't have to be all alone! This is Easton preparing for sleepover fun by taking a pre party nap!

Then we were off for some slumber party silliness! We all had a good time, the kids played while Lisa and I chatted and made yummy caramel popcorn! Then the kiddos watched a movie, and we watched a little So you Think you can Dance!

In The morning Lisa made scones for breakfast and the kids played some more and watched another movie! Then Easton, Conli, and Sawyer did some awesome stunts off Conli's bed onto the trundle! Thanks for the fun over sleep Lisa, we all had a super duper great time!
