One Fun Monday!

Thanksgiving Point Gardens!
Last Monday we meet a bunch of our fun friends for the tulip festival at thanksgiving point! We started off with a little picnic lunch and then started our long afternoon of hiking through the gardens! There wasn't a whole lot of tulips out yet due to the cold spring, but the weather was so nice on the day that we went that we had a blast!

Down by the waterfall!

Stop and smell the flowers...

We had a good time at the gardens with all our friends! It really wore out the kiddos to be out and running around all afternoon in the sun! Thanks to all our friends who came to play with us on a nice spring break day!

Fishing at Vivian Park!

Or you could call this "one fun Monday continued"! After we got back from the gardens, Jeff asked the boys if they'd like to go fishing for FHE. So after a quick dinner, we headed up to Vivian park for some fishing fun! The boys had a blast catching all the fish! Here are some shots of fishy fun! And yes the white stuff in the background is snow!

Don't mind the fat pudginess that is a pregnant me! These are just a couple of shots of us all reeling in some fish!

We had a great time until the wind started blowing off the snow on the other side of the water, so then it was time to pack up and head home. We had a great time fishing and then stopped for some ice cream cones on the way home! It was a great FHE thanks for the idea daddy!

Fishy Birthday Party!

Yesterday was Jeff 's birthday so we went to his parents house for his choice of a home cooked meal. (Steak, YUMMY!) Afterwards we came back home to meet up with my family too so we could celebrate Jeff's special day! After the last couple of birthdays my kids have made several comments on how adult parties are boring because we don't get to play any games or have fun cakes... SO seeing as how Jeff wanted all sorts of fishing things for his birthday I decided to surprise him (and the boys) With a fishy Theme party!
***
Let the festivities begin...
Pinata Time!
Everyone taking their turn for a swing at the fish pinata!

***
Hook The Fish!
(The fish version of pin the tail)
Everyone got blindfolded and spun around and got their turn to hook the fish! Jared was way close, all the way over on the wall! Also Tiff won the award for prettiest hair style!

***

Present time...

Then we all sat around the living room and visited and played while Jeff (with a little help from the boys) opened the birthday gifts! All stuff for fishing, just like he wanted!

***
Cake and Root beer Float Time!

Last but not least we enjoyed the fishy cake, and root beer floats! Jeff loves root beer floats, so that was his dessert of choice!

The boys helped put the candles on and then blow them out!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEFF!
Thanks to all our loved ones who came to celebrate Jeff's big day In a fun and fishy way! Also thanks to our friends who went out to a yummy dinner at Happy Sumo with us to celebrate the night before!

What did you just say?

Okay these are just two quick stories of funny things that my kids have said in the last week...

Yesturday Taylor and Easton were playing in the living room. Taylor kept telling Easton what to do and how to play his way. Easton wasn't having it and it was making Tay really annoyed, so he started stomping up the stairs and said "I'm going to sell my brother, and buy a robot who will do what I want it to do!!" I asked "What did you just say?" trying not to laugh and he replied "Oh you heard me!"

A few days earlier while driving home...
Easton says to me; "Mom I love babies, And I really love our baby girl sister."
Me: "Oh you do huh?"
Easton: "Yes and I'm going to rock her, and sing to her Rock Baby In the Tree Top!"
Me: "That's nice."
Easton: "Then when the wind blows, I'm gonna drop her, but then I'll catch her right before her head hits the floor"
**Jeff and I are at this point trying not to laugh our heads off when...
Tay says: " That sounds dangerous, I'm just going to sing I am A Child of God!"
**Try to stop the laughter now!!! Then Taylor being the wise older brother goes on to explain that it's probably not a good Idea to drop their sister just in case he can't catch her in time. Putting the subject to rest!

I love to hear the cute things that my boys say, It's so fun to hear their little conversations! I love them SO much and they are growing up so quick!

Happy Birthday Grandma Knight!!!!

Happy Birthday
Grandma Knight!!
We just wanted to tell grandma Knight how much we love her and appreciate all that she does for us! The kids always have a blast when they get to spend quality time with you, having sleep overs, going on special dates, or playing for the day! And hey I'm grateful for the free time I get when you so willingly babysit for me, and we all love to come over for Sunday dinners! We love the spirit that radiates from you and all the joy you bring into our lives! Thank you again for all that you do...

Happy Birthday, we love you!
